Macro Monday - The Humble Root

While this may not be a particularly pleasing or exciting photo to post, I decided that the humble, but very important root system needed some time in the limelight today. We take millions of photos from the top end of flowers and leaves, but how many times have you seen photos of the roots other than perhaps in a garden related book? After all, without these squiggly things underneath the soil, those beautiful petals wouldn't exist! Let's hear it for the wonderful root system!

What a great and unique macro. I like it. I also read about Cottonopolis in the post above, I enjoyed viewing the revitalizing AND the history.
