These low flying birds caught my attention while looking at a sunset on the beach in Corolla, North Carolina. It was a mix of a fascinating sight and even a little scary to see them fly so low, with such big wings.

What a great shot of these birds! They can be pretty impressive flying low! I love Corolla - haven't been this year yet.
And their heads are shaped like nothing I have seen before, so I am thinking pterodactyls...
I am guessing they are pelicans, though!
